"I have been a customer of Renew Laser and Skin for seven years now. Before I found them I had tried several places for my cosmetic needs. Prices are fair and what I appreciated most was the honest opinion of Dr. Desai on whether a certain procedure was best suited for me or not. The atmosphere is friendly and super comfortable. Renew is Awesome! Don't take my word for it go check it out for yourself."- C.F. / Google / May 29, 2021
"I absolutely love that I am always in a doctor's care. I typically see Dr. Dsai, but if she is busy, her partner Dr. Patel is always ready to help. They have a great partnership. I highly recommend this team."- T.G. / Google / May 26, 2021

How it works
The Limelight IPL treatment uses advanced non-laser IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology. We gently deliver precise amounts of light energy to the area being treated. The light passes through the skin’s surface to help release stubborn sun spots, reduce blood flow to broken capillaries and stimulate collagen production. The new collagen softens the appearance of the skin, reducing the effects of aging such as: enlarged pores, fine lines and wrinkles. It is also extremely effective in treating redness and acne associated with rosacea.

IPL Photofacial FAQ
How much does IPL cost?
Your complexion issues are unique, which means the cost of IPL treatments will depend on your goals. Renew Laser & Skin sometimes offers special deals, and we take several payment methods. During your initial visit, we can help estimate your cost and determine the number of treatments needed for optimal results.
How quick are the results from IPL?
Improvements can usually be seen following your initial IPL treatment, but optimal results develop about one month after a full series of treatments is completed. It is common for your skin to see different responses following every treatment session. You should see gradual improvements in blotchiness, redness, sun spots, and age spots over time.
What are the possible side effects of IPL?
You may experience mild, temporary side effects, like redness, swelling, blisters, crusting, or bruising. These go away on their own in a few days. Your skin will be sun sensitive, and excessive sun exposure will affect the results of the procedure. You should also wear sunscreen to prevent issues, like redness and spots.
Do I need to prep for IPL?
To prepare for an IPL treatment, patients are asked to avoid sun exposure and self-tanners for 2 – 4 weeks prior to the appointment. You may be asked to stop using minocycline, tetracycline, doxycycline, or Retin-A/Renova several days before your treatment, and may be asked to take aspirin or ibuprofen 5 – 7 days before your procedure to reduce inflammation, which lowers your chance of bruising. You also need to use sunscreen between sessions.
Why should I get multiple IPL sessions?
We recommend getting a series of IPL treatments to deliver gradual improvements to your complexion. Every treatment will fade surface irregularities and spots. A series of treatments also allow for longer-lasting improvements.
